More armor during stance - Can someone explain the term stance to me?

Stances are skills with no activation time that provide a positive effect to the character while in that stance. Only one stance can be active at a time for each character. Some stances, such as Frenzy, have a negative effect in addition to the positive effect. That pretty much explains it.

Something very helpful that I use all the time and encourage other people to use much more is to type /wiki <term> ingame. You should try to type this ingame:

/wiki stance

That will take you to the wiki page of the term you entered. Saves you a lot of time posting questions here and waiting for answers.

You can also press F10 and it will bring up search window. Type in what you are looking for and press search it will redirect you to

Please don't get the wrong idea, bacause I appreciate all the help and advise I get. I do use wikia for detailed info, but for quick replies I like using the forum from experience people and at the same time hope I am helping other noob's who is curious about the same questions. But I will try to use wikia a little more in the future.
